Sometimes the device's BIOS (Basic Input Output System) may become corrupt. This could cause Windows to neglect to boot or malfunction once the operating system cannot properly contact your hardware. On these occasions, you can reset the BIOS to its default configuration.
The first and simplest way to reset the device's BIOS would be to access the BIOS by pressing Delete or F2 on your keyboard at startup and then restore the default BIOS settings. Your motherboard, which houses your BIOS chip, includes a CMOS battery along with a BIOS/CMOS reset button or jumper. You can take away the battery for between 20 seconds and 2 minutes to reset the CMOS.
Put the PC on the level, firm surface, and make sure it's switched off and disconnected in the electrical socket. Ground yourself by touching an unpainted area on the PC case, utilizing an anti-static wristband if at all possible, and open along side it of the PC to reveal the motherboard.

If you suspect that the power supply has failed on your desktop PC, you can attempt to jumpstart it if you have another computer available. To get this done, take away the two power connectors in the motherboard in both PCs. Put the computers alongside, and plug the power connectors in the working power supply in to the motherboard in the nonworking PC. Next, attempt to start the nonworking PC. If lights and fans activate on the motherboard, it's drawing power perfectly well, and you can be sure that the power supply in your PC isn't working.
