Some people say it's all regulated in a name, so when a buddy of mine explained concerning the Eh Canadian Lodge, admittedly my first reaction was laughter. And who are able to blame me? But then I figured about this for couple of minutes, and that i deducted that the innkeepers probably were built with a very good spontaneity.
In the end, would dullards name their home the Eh Canadian Lodge? Most likely not. So, in my reasoning, it followed that the Eh Canadian Lodge was probably quite a fun and welcoming place. I must admit the very fact that they advertised a reasonably higher level of accessibility for any somewhat remote region of Bc also piqued my interest. In the end, it had been no contest - the Eh Canadian lodge would be a must-see for me personally. And that I wasn't disappointed.
Actually getting there's half the enjoyment, As if you approach the lodge in the west, you'll traverse Glacier National Park, whereas, if you range from east, you'll go through Jasper and Banff country. Both drives are extremely scenic, and also the Eh Canadian Lodge constitutes a good base for going through the natural beauty in either direction. The lodge is located in Blaeberry, approximately Fifteen minutes west of Golden.
Opened in 2005, the lodge was built by innkeepers Loren and Denise English, with wood harvested using their 300-acre private farm woodlot. Originally it had been likely to be a family home, but, using their kids off at college and starting lives that belongs to them, it seemed a little large for empty nesters; hence, the concept for that B&B was created.
The three-story lodge features five guest rooms along with a common area on each floor. The primary entrance, that is on the second floor, has ramped access, wide doorways and level access within the threshold. Accessible parking can be obtained close to the end of the ramp.
Inside there's barrier-free use of all of the common areas on the second floor, such as the kitchen, diner, family room and deck. You will find wood flooring through the lodge, making wheeling very simple. The free guest room, Willow, can also be found on this floor, and it is furnished having a queen-sized bed along with a bathroom having a roll-in shower.
Other access features include pocket-door use of the toilet, a fold-down shower bench, a hand-held showerhead, grab bars in the shower and round the toilet along with a roll-under-sink.
